How much electricity is needed to power a robotic arm?

I'm designing a bike workshop, and for the storage i want to have a similar robotic arm that retrieves stored bikes/bike parts etc.
I was told I need to consider the technical aspect, so i just want to know, how much electricity is needed to power a smaller version of the one shown on the video. An estimation would be ok.

I recommend you start off with a model by building a robotic arm with one of the kits below. After you build a smaller robotic arm, you will have a better idea of load and voltage and amp limitations for a scaled up model.
