Robotic Vacuum Cleaners
Robots continue to get more and more advanced every year. The most popular use for a robot in the commercial retail sector is that of the robotic vacuum.
These robots are totally dedicated to keeping your floor clean. They will pick up crumbs, pet fur, and dirt. They hold this dirt in their tiny body waiting for you to empty it. They will never tell you no, I am too tired to vacuum today. They will never make any excuse as to why they can not vacuum. They also will never run into walls and furniture and leave behind scuff and scratch marks.
In fact, robot vacuum cleaners love their job and they obey on command. All you need to do is program them to do it. They come complete with software that allows them to create a three-dimensional map just so they know exactly where they should go.
A really nice feature is that you can program a robotic vacuum cleaner to vacuum your home while you are away. This way the robot never gets in your way.
These wonderful little mothers helpers are compact, relatively inexpensive, and attractive. You do not have to pay them an allowance, feed them, or do their laundry. What more could you want?
Most people hate mopping floors and few are willing to do them properly by scrubbing them on their hands and knees. The iRobot company may have the answer.
If you can afford it, there is a robot called the Scooba that will clean tile floors! Imagine all the time and effort this little robot will save you from having to mop and scrub the floor!
This robotic floor cleaner has a 4-stage cleaning system. It can clean all types of hard floors including linoleum, tile, vinyl, and even hardwood. In PC Magazine, the only negative reviews mentioned having to pick up place mats or carpets before the robot started cleaning. But most reviews were great and people said that the Scooba left their floor very clean and buffed after.
The tank in the Scooba must be filled with a special Clorox cleaning solution. That is pretty much it. There are only two buttons, power and clean. The robot is smart enough to avoid obstacles, rugs, and carpets. One tank of cleaning solution will clean about 200 square feet. The Scooba will go underneath tables, around chairs, and below cabinet edges. It will pretty much go anywhere it can fit.
This robot floor cleaner will cost you about $380 USD. The cleaning solution is $20 a bottle and does not last very long. This was the only criticism I could see in the PC Magazine reviews. So before you spend this kind of money, take time to ponder your decision. Cleaning your hard floors yourself may be more work, but it certainly is going to cost you less money.
